Abstract

In this manuscript, a conformal implantable antenna is designed with flexible polyimide material to work at ISM (industrial, scientific and medical) band application is presented. The conformal implanted antenna is designed to work at ISM band, the top of the substrate has considered rectangular radiating patch with etching I-shape, two L-shape slots and four rectangular slots. The ground plane is etched with complimentary split ring resonators (CSRR). The simulation of the proposed antenna is carried out by implanted the antenna on and inside the human body tissues, by considering the electrical properties. The antenna implanted on the bone tissue resonates at 5.7GHz frequency with return loss −22.8dB. The specific absorption ratio (SAR), the gain plots and the radiation patterns are also presented in this paper.
