Abstract
The fatigue life estimations for composite plates subjected to shear loadings are studied. A progressive damage analysis of composite structures and the used failure criteria is demonstrated. Special attention is focused on a fatigue crack growth analysis. Using the failure criteria the numerical analysis is conducted in order to evaluate the fatigue life for a square plate under cyclic shear loads. Various laws describing the crack growth ratio have been employed in the FE analysis. Some experimental results are also demonstrated herein.
