Abstract

The designs of two dielectric-filled metal-pipe rectangular waveguide structures are presented which are both compatible with monolithic-integrated circuit technology. The first design uses ultralow-loss materials while the second employs materials that were available at the time. The measured performances of an experimental 105 GHz proof-of-concept π-network clearly demonstrates that the dominant TE10 mode of propagation is supported in this uniplanar technology.
