Abstract

The existing compact field measurement system is widely used in the field of antenna measurement, especially the reflective compact field, but it often has high production cost. In this paper, a low-cost compact array design method is presented. The position, focal-diameter ratio and feed mode of the antenna are determined by establishing a single compact array measurement system, then the phase of each element is calculated, and the spherical wave is converted into a plane wave to form a quiet zone by adjusting the element. In this paper, a low-cost 4320-element reflective array antenna is designed using square patch as array element. When the frequency is 10GHz, the total length of the central quiet zone is 50%, the amplitude distribution range is less than ±1dB, and the phase distribution range is less than 10°.
