Abstract

An optimized 1 times 4 Chebychev Tapered Slot Antenna (TSA) array designed for wideband applications has been developed. Tapered slot antennas were utilized as the array elements and optimized to have a compact size. A one to four wideband power divider was designed and fabricated to compose the feed network for Chebychev TSA antenna array. Measured results of the proposed Chebychev TSA antenna array yield ultra wide frequency bandwidth with return loss below -10 dB for the whole frequency range of operation. The developed array is an essential component for wideband applications.
