Abstract
The distance education system is a very important education mode in the 21st century, and its appearance has promoted the innovation of the traditional teaching mode. This paper aims to study the application of the Internet of Things in the education system, by optimizing the existing distance education system, enriching effective social education channels, broadening the types of education in our country, and meeting the needs of a wider range of educational functions. The result of the empirical analysis is that the Internet of Things is an important development trend in the Internet information age. Combining the Internet of Things with a mature business model will further promote the industrialization of distance education, fully mobilize market resources, and improve the realization mechanism of Chinese distance education process. At the same time, the research concludes that designing a distance education system based on the Internet of Things can save the resources of social education institutions, promote the improvement of their business systems, and achieve a wider distribution of educational resources in colleges and vocational colleges.
