Abstract
This paper proposes and designs a broadband RCS reduction(RCSR) technique based on the composite mechanism of absorption and scattering modulation, which reduces RCS by absorption in the relatively low and high, and intermediate frequency bands, and by phase canceling in the other frequency bands, so that the overall RCS will be reduced. Two types of units are used in the whole plane, both of which are double-loop structures. Element 0 is the main unit, which produces the absorbing effect in the low and high, and intermediate frequency bands, and element 1 is the auxiliary unit, which uses the principle of phase cancellation to reduce the RCS in the other frequency bands.
