Abstract

In this paper, a broadband high efficiency continuous Class-F power amplifier (PA) is designed. The designed PA operates in continuous Class-F mode over the bandwidth by using a 3-stage low-pass matching network based on the input matching network and a modified simplified real frequency technique (SRFT) for the output matching. Simulation results show that the bandwidth of the PA is 1.2-3.3GHz, and the relative bandwidth is 93.33%. Within the bandwidth, the drain efficiency is can reach 64.3-75.1% and the output power can achieve 40.6-41.9 dBm.
