Abstract

An ultra-wideband dual-ridge horn antenna of 0.6 ~ 6GHz is proposed in this paper, which is designed to meet the requirements of plasma diagnostic experiments with microwave. It has the characteristics of ultra-wideband and constant beam width. The design of the antenna and the determination of the ridge curve equation are introduced. Various parameters of the antenna are simulated with CST electromagnetic simulation software, and the optimized values are obtained. Finally, the antenna prototype is made, and the measurement results are in good agreement with the simulation results.
