Abstract
Wireless power transfer (WPT) is one of the promising technologies that can transfer power from one circuit to another through electromagnetic induction, popularizing among devices ranging from low power to high power. To achieve optimal power transfer performance in the traditional WPT systems, the receiving (Rx) coil needs to strictly align with the transmitting (Tx) coil as the mutual inductance is sensitive to the relative position of the two sides coils, leading to low flexibility and availability. Instead of planar structures, researchers focused on three-dimensional (3D) WPT to improve the WPT system. Under such circumstances, this paper proposed a novel designed system for cubic wireless charging containers to achieve both simple coil structure and uniform magnetic field distribution. By combining two one-dimensional WPT systems, a rotational magnetic field with a simple circuit structure can be obtained, which is evenly distributed. In addition, prototypes equipped with the proposed circuit are produced for examination and the outcomes further verify the reliability of the system.
