Abstract

Harmonic distortion at a static inverter output has been the topic of research of many workers. Improvements in and control of harmonic distortion have been achieved by employing sampling and modulation techniques. On the other hand, there are practical difficulties in realizing the optimum inverter output Toltage steps and/or control circuits. To overcome these difficulties and at the same time to obtain an inverter output having a low harmonic content, polyphase symmetrization technique is used to give the designed optimum inverter output voltage waveform.
