Abstract

Lens antennas are widely used in millimeter wave imaging field. This paper proposes a wide-band spot focusing lens conical horn antenna. The structure of the antenna consists of media lens and conical horn antenna. The media lens is composed of two convex lenses and a cylindrical structure. The horn antenna is the conical structure. The focus on one side of the lens needs to coincide with the phase center of the conical horn antenna. The operating frequency band is 8.2-12.4GHz. The measured VSWR is 1.5 Max., the focal length is 300mm Typ., the diameter of the focal spot is 55mm Typ. and the antenna is linear polarization. The spot focusing lens antenna has been used in practical systems.
