Abstract

A two element dual port composite Dielectric Resonator Antenna has been investigated for ultrawideband (UWB) multiple input multiple output (MIMO) applications. It portrays an enormous bandwidth of 5-25 GHz $(\sim 133$%) indicating satisfactory diversity characteristics over the operating bandwidth with an inter-port minimum isolation of about -15dB. Nominal values of Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC $\lt0.05)$ and high value of Diversity Gain establishes the proposed MIMO structure as a strong contender in the family of UWB antennas for MIMO applications.
