Abstract

In this paper we present the design and test of a high power electromagnetic mesoband radiating source, called switched oscillator (SWO). The validity of the theoretical model predicting the behaviour of the SWO connected to a frequency dependent load (monopole antenna) is experimentally tested. The peak amplitude, frequency, waveform and spectral content of the measured electric field are compared to the numerical simulations and the obtained results are discussed.
