Abstract
In learning programming, a Web-based programming environment could be helpful. We have constructed a platform called WappenLite to support Web-based programming environments for learning programming. In addition to avoiding installation time, Web-based environments offer potential advantages such as the real-time monitoring of learner activity. However, it is difficult to construct a Web server-side application that can support a variety of course designs and the grading criteria of various teachers. Therefore, in this paper, we aim to build a platform that can offer flexible customization capabilities to the server-side application of Web-based environments for learning programming.
