Abstract

In this paper, a rectifier with wide dynamic load range based on dc-dc converter is proposed. The rectifier with shunt-diode topology consists of a T-shaped stub matching network, a rectifying diode and a dc-pass filter. A microwave-direct current (mw-dc) rectifying efficiency of 77% is measured at 5.8GHz operation frequency on the condition of 90 mW input power and $195 \Omega $ load. A pulse width modulation (PWM) controlled buck-boost dc-dc converter is designed to expand the load range. The rectifier with dc-dc converter is fabricated and the measured result shows that the rectifying efficiency is higher than 50% when the load varies from 250 to $3000 \Omega $.
