Abstract

This paper introduces the design of a precise load shedding system and its simulation test method. The precision load shedding system is part of the grid safety and stability control system. It is mainly used to coordinate the comprehensive configuration of power grid resources and loads, realize mutual interaction between power supply, power grid and user load, and improve the emergency response capability of the grid for UHV faults. Through the classification, grading and sub-regional management of the load resources, the real-time precise control of the interruptible load of the classified users can be realized by the dispatching direct command. This paper mainly studies the architecture, strategy and communication protocols of each level of the system. In addition, the algorithm of the load shedding strategy of the control terminal was studied. Finally, a simulation test method for precise load shedding system is proposed in RTDS environment, which has certain reference significance for the safety and stability control of large power grid, micro-grid and distributed energy.
