Abstract

This paper proposes the design of a frequency and polarization reconfigurable slot antenna with surface pins(S-PINs). The basic structure of the antenna is two perpendicular slots with S-PINs. The antenna can realize frequency reconfigurable and polarization reconfigurable, using four S-PINs. The simulated gain at the C and K band are 4.32dBi and 5.2dBi, at 5.76GHz and 18.072GHz, respectively. In this paper, the characteristics of the antenna are verified through simulation, and shows that it can be frequency reconfigurable and polarization reconfigurable.
