Abstract

Abstract In this letter, a differential driven shorted annular-ring microstrip antenna is presented. The antenna configuration, operation theory and parametric studies are described. Finally, an exemplary antenna is designed, simulated, fabricated and tested to verify the theoretical prediction. The fabricated antenna exhibits many good performances including wider impedance bandwidth, lower backward radiation and direct connection with other differential components.
