Abstract

This paper is used Brokaw structure to design the bandgap reference circuit in TSMC 0.18μm process. Design to improve the temperature characteristics of the reference circuit. The temperature compensation circuit is design to improve the temperature characteristics of the bandgap reference. Simulation result shows that the bandgap reference achieves the temperature coefficient (TC) of 4.405ppm/°C from −40°C to 85°C before temperature compensation. The TC is 0.304ppm/°C from −40°C to 85°C after temperature compensation. The power supply rejection ratio is 89.12dB at low frequencies; the power supply rejection ratio at 10kHz is 32.98dB. Therefore, the bandgap reference designed in this paper has the characteristics of ultra-low temperature coefficient. And the bandgap reference can be applied to high-precision analog-to-digital converters and low-dropout linear regulators.
