Abstract
Design for eXcellence (DfX) represent methodology which aims to define and implement a series of demands which enables the development of optimal product in terms of its manufacturing (DfM), assembly (DfA), disassembly (DfD), environmental impact (DfE), and many others. Because of impossibility considering these aspects in the design, for results can get a product that is too expensive, and therefore less profitable. This paper presents the basic DfX methods, as well as some less well-established methods, while special attention dedicated methodologies related to the design for manufacturing and assembly of products.

Kao zaključak može se reći da DfX metode utiču na proces razvoja proizvoda na dva načina. Postoje i mnoge druge kao što su na primer: AREM (eng. Assembly Reliability Evaluation Method) za procenu pouzdanosti montaže, FMEA (eng. Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) za analizu uzroka i efekata potencijalnih otkaza, FBME (eng. Feature Based Manufacturability Evaluation) za procenu tehnologičnosti konstrukcije proizvoda pomoću tipskih oblika, DAC (eng. Design for Assembly Cost Effectiveness) projektovanje za smanjenje troškova montaže, AOD (eng. Assembly Oriented Design) za uporedno projektovanje sklopova i delova, Nippodenso, sistematskog prilaza kod projektovanja za montažu (eng. A systematic approach to Design for Assembly), i mnoge druge. U radovima [40, 41] prikazano DfM programsko rešenje, koje se sastoji od modula za analizu tehnologičnosti konstrukcije delova, izbor i ocenu tehnoloških procesa i procenu troškova njihove izrade. Danas, postoje i rešenja za procenu troškova izrade i montaže koja se integrišu u unutar CAD platformi kao što je: DFMPro (eng. Design For Manufacturability and Assembly Solution). Sistem treba da pruži korisniku mogućnost prilagoñavanja podataka za konkretne proizvodne uslove
