Abstract
This study systematically compares the three non-contact grippers. A Vortex Gripper, Swirl Vane Gripper, and Bernoulli Gripper are types of pneumatic grippers that have similar function but different working principles they are widely used for performing transferring and placing operation in automatic production lines and food products handling, and provide on objective reference to enable users to choose an appropriate gripper. Then the curve on suction force is measured, air consumption, and upstream pressure which reveals the relationship with the air consumption and the total energy consumption. Next, the pressure distribution formed on upper surface of the work piece is measured. The parameters such as air Consumption, negative pressure relationship are developed based on parameters through gap height, velocity is set and pressure is calculated.
