Abstract
AbstractThis article documents the clinical use of a new device (Porta-Stat TMJ)designed to make clear and reproducible lateral transcranial TMJ radiographs. Anecdotal cases presented demonstrate the clinical usefulness of individually standardized TMJ radiographs. The device has proven useful in the management of cases needing reliable documentation of change in condylar position, as in mandibular fracture, orthognathic surgery, and TMJ diagnosis, treatment, and pathology.
