Abstract

Compared with hardware receiver, the GPS software receiver has higher design flexibility, small size and low price, so it has a wide range of research prospects. In this paper, the GPS signal acquisition and tracking algorithm is studied. We use the collection and playback equipment to emulate the GPS signal and validate the acquisition and tracking algorithms. In the acquisition phase, the performance of different acquisition algorithms is compared. Theoretical analysis and simulation are made to achieve the effect of coherent integration time and non-coherent integration time on the acquisition performance. When the GPS signal is weak, the method of differential coherent integration algorithm is used to acquire the signal, and the effect is better. In the tracking phase, the theoretical analysis and simulation results showed that the second-order loop can be used to track the signal with constant phase or constant Doppler frequency or constant rate of Doppler frequency. And the results show that the navigation data is right demodulated.
