Abstract

In this paper we proposed an aperture coupled patch antenna array with hyperbolic dielectric lens at 6.45GHz. The structure of the aperture coupled provides narrow bandwidth and a hyperbolic lens is used to focus the beam from the patch antenna in the forward direction resulting in higher realized gain. Comparing with the traditional patch antenna array without a hyperbolic lens, this proposed antenna achieves 2.3 dB higher gain from simulation with CST software.
