Abstract

This paper introduces a design method of a wideband double-ridged horn and whose simulation fed trough the coaxial line is taken by using HFSS software. To improve the performance of the horn, an optimization for the position of coaxial line is carried out. The results show that the VSWR(Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) is lower than 2 and the gain is greater than 10 dB in most range when the frequency is between 0.7GHz and 7GHz, while they both increase as the frequency increases. The directional diagram preserves a quite good uniformity within the entire frequency band.
