Abstract

In the Visible Light Communication (VLC) system, the LED light source has the dual functions of lighting and communication. Different light source layouts will inevitably lead to different light power distributions in the room. Therefore, the layout of the light source must be reasonably designed to make the received optical power tends to be uniform. This paper establishes a direct link transmission model for indoor visible light communication. Under the optimal number of LEDs in this model, the relationship between layout design and received light power distribution is analyzed and simulated, which provides an optimal solution for indoor light source layout. Under more light source conditions, the light source equipm ent is optimized through genetic algorithm. The results show that the optimized layout of the light source can minimize the change in the optical power of the receiving plane. This solution aims to improve communication coverage and opti mize communication performance.
