Abstract

A novel hierarchical control design of electric active stabilizer bar(ASB) system has been proposed. This control algorithm is aimed to generate and distribute active anti-roll torques between two active stabilizer bars, which can change the roll stiffness of front and rear suspension systems of the vehicle in real time. And fuzzy control theory is adopted to design the control algorithm of ASB dynamic distribution. Through modeling and simulating under various standard maneuvers in MATLAB/Simulink, the reliability and precision of the control system have been illustrated. And the ASB system based on level control algorithm makes great improvement on the roll stability, ride comfort and handling stability of vehicles.
