Abstract

This paper introduces a design method of directional access antenna system for UAV Ad Hoc network. The laminated microstrip antenna is used as the basic single beam element, and the influence of the coupling height between patches on the gain and impedance bandwidth of the element antenna is analyzed. The microwave switch array is used as the beam selection method of the 8-beam antenna array, and the total loss of the switch array is designed to be 1dB by optimizing the impedance design of the circuit board. The corresponding antenna array and switch array are fabricated. The test results show that the laminated microstrip antenna has good impedance and gain characteristics, which are in good agreement with the simulation results. The designed microwave switch array has small insertion loss and is suitable for unmanned aerial vehicle ad hoc network directional access antenna system.
