Abstract

Abstract We designed a laser pulse sampling circuit to achieve equal optical path difference sampling for an open-path Fourier transform infrared (OP-FTIR) spectrometer based on a rotating mirror. The trigger signals for the equal optical path difference sampling were successfully obtained through circuit simulations, and an intelligent control circuit based on a 52 single-chip microcomputer (SCM) was used to accurately determine the sampling starting point and range for the spectrometer. By processing the grating scale signal and the grating reference signal, the sampling starting point and range of the spectrometer were determined precisely. Finally, the sampling trigger signals required to accomplish equal optical path difference sampling of the infrared spectrum were successfully outputted within the defined sampling range.
