Abstract

According to the requirement of opening and closing characteristics of vacuum circuit breaker. A new actuator of cylindrical permanent magnet brushless DC motor is designed. The overall design of the actuator of the cylindrical permanent magnet brushless DC motor is carried out and the kinematic and dynamic characteristics of the actuator are analyzed. The structure and main parameters of the linear motor are designed. Simulation analysis of magnetic circuit and dynamic process of motor and the displacement and velocity curves of the motor are obtained. The average opening speed and closing speed are 1.9m/s and 1.3m/s respectively, the results show that permanent magnet linear motor actuator can meet the demands of breaker's closing requirements.
