Abstract

The electromagnetic parameters of the external rotor low-speed high-torque permanent magnet synchronous motor was designed in this paper. Based on the main parameters, the 2D finite element model of the motor was established and the performance of the motor was simulated and analyzed. The structure of the motor was optimized based on the original design. The magnitude of the torque ripple is a key indicator reflecting the stable operation and vibration of the motor. Therefore, the segment structure of permanent magnets is adopted, the purpose is to reduce the torque ripple and the cogging torque amplitude and the electromagnetic vibration.
