Abstract

AbstractA real-time image acquisition and display system based on FPGA is proposed, to against the issue of the traditional image acquisition system, which includes: complex hardware circuit, high cost, long development cycle, not suitable for secondary development and design, and hard to meet the applications which are highly request for real time. The idea of the modular and integration design is adopted in the period. The real- time image acquisition and display is realized by combining with the technologies of color interpolation, line buffering, pipeline, data joining and SDRAM partition storage. The working principle and realization method of each function module is introduced in details. In the end, the system performance test is done, the result certificates that it’s flexible, reliable, small volume, low cost, and meet requirement of the high performance real-time image acquisition system in field of industry and scientific research.KeywordsReal-time Image AcquisitionDisplayFPGACMOS Image SensorVGA
