Abstract

This paper presents reconfigurable low power low noise amplifier for an RF Receiver front end, which is designed and simulated in 0.18um CMOS technology. The reconfigurable techniques of Regulated cascode LNA for multiband RF front end have been discussed. The results of switched inductor, switched capacitor and active inductor loads are analyzed and compared. The tuning range of switched inductor LNA is 1–4GHz and the average noise figure ranges 2.5dB with the power consumption of 7.47mW. The tuning range of switched capacitor LNA is 1–2GHz and the average noise figure is 1.3dB with the power consumption of 7.47mW. The tuning range of Active inductor LNA is 1–5GHz and the average noise figure is 2.1dB with the power consumption of 5.99mW and is more suitable for tunable multiband RF front end.
