Abstract

Design objectives for an integrated pulse power supply data acquisition and control system are discussed. How well these objectives have been satisfied, based on operational experience with the Balcones 60 MJ pulse power supply, is described. Design flexibility and required modifications to the integrated system are discussed. Specific instrumentation techniques, sequential control logic, safety logic diversity and redundancy, and subsystem interface techniques are described, with emphasis on easing the complexity of integrated system operations and data collection.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">></ETX>
