Abstract

Propellers play important role in the flight performance of a Quadcopter. It converts the rotational power into linear thrust, which moves the Quadcopter in space. A heavy and weak propeller decreases the maneuverability of the Quadcopter. The main objective of the present paper is to analyze and compare three different designs of propellers, and to find the best design among three propeller design, which can sustain a heavy load under vibration condition. In the present study, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) has been applied for the modal analyses of three propellers geometries. Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer (CFRP) is used as material of the propeller, the designed propellers have been analyzed and compared on the basis of resonance frequencies and the maximum deformation.
