Abstract
The automotive industry is recognized as one of the greatest potential areas for radio frequency identification (RFID) applications in recent years. However, the automotive industry is a complex area and there is a certain degree of difficulty to promote RFID applications in this industry. In this paper, the authors try to establish a public service platform for automotive industry based on RFID. The authors first briefly analyze the status of RFID application in automotive industry in domestic area and abroad. Then, the authors study the requirement analysis of automotive industry, and focus on the analysis of the design and its structure of public service platform for automotive industry based on RFID. Finally, the authors give some new thinking about the promotion of RFID application in the Chinese automotive industry.
