Abstract

Efficiency and completeness of coverage are the major constraints in designing an autonomous robot floor cleaning application. This paper presents a simple and inexpensive approach for design and implementation of wireless floor cleaning robot. An MSP430 based Ultrasonic sensor system has been developed for complete coverage navigation of a floor-cleaning robot in which the robot adopts a complete coverage cleaning strategy and executes back-and-forth cleaning task. Thus, the robot operated wirelessly and it can complete the cleaning task efficiently in an environment with unexpected obstacles in an unknown environment.
