Abstract

This paper presents Wiener model predictive control designed for pressure control process. The input-output data measured from experiment is used for identifying a Wiener model. Applying the Wiener model to nonlinear model predictive control (NMPC) can transform the design criterion into a quadratic function. For simulation, the performance of linear MPC controller is compared to nonlinear MPC controller. Effects of each control parameter are also obtained. Then, the designed controller is implemented on distributed control system. The experimental results are similar to simulation results for the same control parameters. Effects of each control parameter are also experimented. Results are discussed in order to provide the best solution for NMPC.
