Abstract

With the rapid development of satellite communication technology, the data exchange rate of payload devices is getting higher and the types of interfaces are becoming more complex. A high-speed routing scheme based on Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) and Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory (SDRAM) is designed in this paper. Solutions are provided for several key technologies such as matrix switching, routing lookup, SDRAM arbitration access, reliability design, etc. Modular design is used in routing scheme to realize the functions of receiving, transmitting, routing and data forwarding. The scheme can be used to construct communication networks for various standard interfaces such as Controller Area Network (CAN), Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART), and Low Voltage Differential Signal (LVDS). The specific implementation and experimental verification of this scheme in a satellite project is given at the same time, which can provide a reference for intra-satellite and inter-satellite routing design.
