Abstract
In this paper, a microphone array is proposed which is based on the principle on far-field sound source localization. Meanwhile, a sound source localization model is established which is based on the time delay of arrival. The location algorithm was simulated by MATLAB and the feasibility of the scheme was verified. On the basis of simulation, a hardware test platform is built. The ADS8568 is used to synchronously acquire 4 channel audio signals. The DSP core of OMAP-L138 is used for calculating the orientation information of the sound source by using the algorithm such as time delay of arrival. However, the deviation caused by environmental noise and reverberation in the actual test process has a great influence in the calculation result. Therefore, some measures such as threshold setting and endpoint monitoring which are used to process the sampling data are added to improve the accuracy of sound source localization.
