Abstract
This paper is addressed to report the design and implementation of Planar Log Periodic Dipole Array (LPDA) antenna has been designed for implementation of Passive Coherent Location (PCL) at UHF-band. The proposed antenna is designed to capture TV audio signals at UHF frequencies From the measurement results, we can see that our LPDA prototyped has operating frequency is at 682 - 1600MHz with the smallest S 11 value is -47,6dB. In addition, the VSWR value is less than 2 at frequency of 682 - 1600MHz. For PCL testing purposes, we have fabricated four LPDAs and integrated the to our UHF PCL systems with local TV stations as reference signals at Bandung. From the testing data results we conclude that UHF-band PCL using LPDAs success to detect the aircraft target both the bistatic range as well as the Doppler frequency.
