Abstract

Abstract: Power electronic transformer (PET) is an important energy conversion equipment. To realize ac-ac conversion and high reliability and controllability, a novel three-level topology consisting of power electronic transformer based on three-phase PWM rectifier, dual active bridge dc-dc converter and three-phase full-bridge inverter is proposed and analyzed in detail in this paper. This topology can realize unit power factor on the grid side, can control the transmission power through phase shift, and can control the output ac voltage. Finally, the proposed topology is simulated and verified based on the Matlab/Simulink simulation platform. The experimental results show that the proposed three-level power electronic transformer structure can not only achieve unit power factor transmission operation, but also effectively control power transmission and output voltage, and has fast dynamic response speed.
