Abstract

The scarcity of clean water resources in the world requires the optimum use of these resources. Intelligent management of water plays an important role in improving irrigation efficiency and improving efficiency for quality. Irrigation is often done by conventional methods. However, traditional methods cannot ensure that the soil has the same humidity. As a result of the use of technology in the field of irrigation, the multidisciplinary concept Internet of Things (IoT, Internet of Things) closes this gap in the physical world. In this paper, an IoT based irrigation system consisting of two sub-systems as control and cloud system has been designed and realized for the pilot area. Environmental conditions in the irrigation system has been monitored using temperature, soil moisture, and rain sensor. The sensor node data are gathered wirelessly via cloud using ThingSpeak. Then, data collected in the cloud are processed instantaneously and according to the commands transmitted by the cloud system, the control system provides to water as much as the plant needs.
