Abstract

In the process of studying Steady State Visual Evoked Potential (SSVEP), multi-path analysis is needed while high frequency noise is needed to be removed. So Infinite Impulse Response (IIR) multi-path filter is designed with MATLAB. The performance of the filter is tested by mixed sinusoidal signal input, and then its amplitude-frequency and phase-frequency characteristics are analyzed. After that, the SSVEP signal is processed by this filter and its characteristic is analyzed. The parameters of the filter can be set according to the user's requirements, and different paths can be displayed with different colors. SSVEP signal is weak, unstable, and susceptible to the emotions of person. The digital filter has high precision, high signal-to-noise ratio and high reliability. The filter is designed by software, which is convenient, and the user interface can clearly display waveform and spectrum. It can be seen that IIR multi-path filter is useful in SSVEP signal processing.
