Abstract

The static threshold methods for data preprocessing are mostly used in existing data acquisition systems. If the threshold is setting too large, important data may be missed, and setting too small, network transmission load may be increased. Aiming at the situation of poor adaptability of static threshold, a data acquisition system based on dynamic threshold algorithm is proposed. In the system, threshold is adjusted with autoregressive (AR) model. A good balance is achieved between bandwidth occupied by data transmission and the amount of data information with this approach. Experiment result shows that the prediction accuracy in this way is high and the mean absolute error(MAE) can reach 0.03. The data acquisition system has been applied for two years in situational awareness system of a equipment. During the two years, the situation that important data information was missed and network transmission load was increased excessively has not occurred.
