Abstract

This paper presents a designed measurement system to record the Respiratory rate waveform from the humans respiratory system. A computer system includes a body strap with the pressure transducer for measure chest extensions after breathing, an embedded system for the signal processing and a PC software for a data analysis. In order to diagnose a diseases of the Respiratory system a Pulmonary Function Tests must be realized. The prototype machine can perform some of the function tests, which are measured by a Spirometer, Nasal thermistor, Plethysmograph and Pneumotachometer. The proposed method of the measure is very comfortable in patients because the main sensor is no located on a head.
