Abstract

A nonlinear speed controller for permanet magnet synchronous motor based on adaptive backstepping control is designed, which used second-order filter to smooth the speed reference. By conbining the adaptive control, the uncertain parameter and load torque is estimated when the nonlinear speed controller is designed. A simulation model for a permanent magnet synchronous motor speed servo system using the proposed nonlinear controller was built. A DSP-based real-time experimental reseach was carried out. The simulation and experimental results show that the designed controller can gurantee the globally asymptotically stability of system, and the PMSM servo sytem achieved excellent tracking performance, and is robust to uncetain parameters and load torque disturbance.
