Abstract

Design and implementation of a FPGA-based controller is presented in this paper. First general control scheme for resonant inverter is introduced and the FPGA-based controller construction is given. Then the small signal model of the close loop system for a resonant inverter is analyzed. Thus compensator can be designed. Moreover, the key functional blocks within FPGA including variable frequency pulse width modulator (VFPWM), PLL and power control loop are discussed in detail. Finally experimental architecture and results are given.
