Abstract

Cubital tunnel syndrome (CuTS) involves ischemia or damage to the ulnar nerve through compression, friction, or stretching and is the second most common neuropathy of the upper extremity.1-4 Symptoms commonly reported include paresthesia of the small finger and ulnar half of ring finger, difficulty maintaining grasp on objects and difficulty sleeping.5,6 Multiple causes have been identified within the literature to cause CuTS including but not limited to systemic diseases, occupational activities, external sources of compression, fractures and dislocations of the medial epicondyle and elbow deformities after trauma.
